MUTHONI DRUMMER QUEEN

Since my first EP in 2008, my music has often reflected on the state of Kenya and Africans in general, on the human condition/experience, and on the situation of women. The underlying aim of my work is to awaken the listener to their inherent destiny and to ignite in them the desire for greatness and freedom.

In terms of genre, my music lies at the intersection of Hip-hop, Pop, Afrobeats, and Reggae/Dancehall, often brought together under the term Afro-diasporic!

I sing, I rap, and I play a range of traditional instruments.
