A brand-new duo is forming for this occasion, combining complementary talents and a shared passion for music.

SEDJEM has been a DJ for over 10 years, captivating audiences in clubs and festivals with an eclectic style that knows no bounds. A master of blending, he fuses various sounds through his turntablism technique inspired by Hip-hop. His collaborations with diverse musicians have allowed him to explore the fusion of turntables and instruments, creating a unique musical experience. In 2024, he will present an innovative show with drummer Jo.Jo.La at the Électropicales. Additionally, since 2018, he has been focused on music production and will release his first single, “POK PO-K,” in 2024, available on all platforms.

STAM is a professional musician, saxophonist, and guitarist, active since 2020. Upon arriving on the island, he quickly connected with local musicians and performed with various groups, including the renowned maloya band Dawar (now known as Kintet), as well as Malagasy artists Maki Rasta and Mamiso Trio. He has also played multiple times in Dub with the Soundsystem Equality HI FI. His numerous collaborations have allowed him to delve into the rich musical heritage of the Indian Ocean, leading him to experiment and refine his ear and technique.

This first collaboration between SEDJEM and STAM represents an artistic opportunity
for both, a chance to create an ephemeral experience, if only for a moment on stage.
