THE JOY

The South African group The Joy quickly gained recognition in less than three years for their ability to create instant euphoria with a unique sound transcending genres and continents.
Their first project, the EP “Amabutho,” blending traditional Zulu music and modern a cappella singing, was acclaimed. The single “Egoli,” released in November 2022, enriched their musical palette with distinctive harmonies and influences from Maskandi guitar.
The group, composed of Ntokozo Magcaba, Melokuhle Mkhungo, Sanele Ngcobo, Phelelani Sithole, and Sandile Sphelele Hlophe, attracted global attention through international collaborations and high-level live performances. Inspired by their energy, the producer Two Inch Punch signed them to the Love You Up label, propelling the quintet to worldwide fame.
Their presence on social media has helped expand their audience, and their music, both revitalizing and enriching, has won over renowned artists such as Alicia Keys, Sam Smith, and Jennifer Hudson.
