Sakifo Musik Festival

After a memorable anniversary edition celebrating its 20th year, the Sakifo Festival embarks on a new chapter with its 21st edition, solidifying its status as a must-attend event in the Indian Ocean music scene and beyond. Based in the center of Saint-Pierre, the capital of southern Réunion, the festival returns from June 6 to 8, 2025, with a rich, diverse, and unifying lineup.
True to its mission of discovering new talents and bringing cultures together, Sakifo 2025 creates a musical bridge between the Indian Ocean, Africa, Europe, and the Americas.
The big names of this edition promise to light up the festival stages. With Zaho de Sagazan, winner of 4 Victoires de la Musique in Paris, inaugurating the festival alongside Tiakola, a major figure in urban music. Fatoumata Diawara, the powerful voice of afropop, will meet the electro-hip-hop beats of Chinese Man, while Caballero & Jeanjass and Jahneration will stir up Saint-Pierre with their smooth, slick flows.
Sakifo is also a chance to discover emerging talents. This year, the festival highlights fresh artists like Nectar Woode (UK), whose soulful voice mesmerizes instantly, Violet Indigo (France), the embodiment of a vibrant new indie scene, and Branko (Portugal), a visionary electronic music producer.
Local and regional talent will once again be in the spotlight. La Salle Verte, the beating heart of the festival, will host Zanfan Koman Nou (Réunion), bringing a new generation of maloya, Mannyok (Rodrigues), with his captivating musical fusion, and Mélanie Pérès (Mauritius), an emerging talent poised for stardom.
